Hurrah, we come to the end of the module! We started the module by asking how we can distinguish between stars and planets. As we saw in the module, stars twinkle.
Planets also twinkle, but, they twinkle much less. It is so less that we can't even see it.
Planets twinkle less because as they are closer to us, their angular sizes are bigger. So, if you look at a star-like object, and it is not twinkling, it is a planet and not a star!
