Hurrah, we come to the end of the module! We started with a discussion on the difference between cars and rockets. We wondered how a rocket moves even though it doesn't have moving parts like a car. Newton's Third Law is the answer to this!
As you saw in one of the animations, when a rocket takes off, burnt fuel escapes from the rocket and move downwards. By Newton's Third Law, this applies an equal and opposite (upwards) force. Hence, the rocket moves up!
