Hurrah, that brings us to the end of the module! We learnt about displacement, which gives us the distance between an object's final position and its initial position. We learnt about velocity, which tells us how fast the displacement is changing. We learnt about acceleration, which tells us how fast velocity itself is changing.

For example, when you throw a ball up in the air, as it moves away from you, its displacement increases. But, as time goes on, it is moving more and more slowly. That is, its velocity decreases.

Because the velocity is changing, we can say that the ball is experiencing acceleration.
