We began this Chapter discussing the falling of an apple, and the motion of the Moon around the Earth. Though the motions appear to be very different, we said that both occur due to Gravity.

Newton was the first to discover this. The Law is called Newton's Universal Law of Gravitation, because the law affects all objects universally (meaning, in the same way).
