If we have a name for elements with the same atomic, we must have a name for elements with the same mass number, right? And, yes, we do! The name is isobar. So, isobars are two elements with the same mass number, but, different atomic numbers.

For example, \(^{40}_{20} C\) and \(^{40}_{18} Ar\) are isobars. So, even though the elements are different, and have different chemical properties, their atomic masses are very similar as they have the same mass number.
