Atoms of different elements have different masses. So, for example, 1 Oxygen atom is 16 times as heavy as 1 Hydrogen atom.

But, the mass of an atom remains the same everywhere. So, whether a Carbon atom is found in the Sun, deep inside an ocean, or in a diamond ring, its mass is always the same!
Object A is made up of 1000 Hydrogen atoms. Object B is made up of 1000 Oxygen atoms. Which object is heavier?
  • Object A
  • Object B
  • Both objects weigh the same
