We know that if we heat water to $$100^{\circ} \mathrm{C}$$ (the boiling point of water), the water gets converted to steam. We also know that if you leave a glass of water in the Sun, the water becomes water vapour.
If you leave some water out in the Sun, is its temperature $$100^{\circ} \mathrm{C}$$ just before it gets converted to water vapour?
