You must have heard of nuclear energy. Nuclear energy is a very clean, yet dangerous, form of energy. It can be used for good purposes, like generating electricity, as well as destructive purposes, like in atomic bombs.
Most nuclear energy is generated by using Uranium. But, in Nature, Uranium comes as a mixture of two different types: 99.3% of the Uranium found in Nature is useless for nuclear energy. So, a very important part of generating nuclear power is separating the useful 0.7% from the mixture. This is called Uranium Enrichment. In this module, we will learn about how mixtures are separated.
